Cancún Mexico

We had a fantastic time at Club Med Cancun focused on scuba diving. Our son got his Open Water Diver certification and we were super impressed by the whole team - Mónica and Victor in the scuba office organizing everything, Captain Oscar and assistant Olga on the awesome dive boat, and above all the excellent diving instructor Paco, who was patient and very professional but also shared his passion for diving and always made it fun!
The first day we went diving to the underwater museum and Manchones reef. The second day we went to a deeper Punta Cancun reef and it was amazing - big rays, barracuda and lots and lots of beautiful coral and fish. We can’t wait to come back!

This Club Med location suited our desire to do as much snorkelling off the beach as possible. Sadly Mother nature restricted our snorkelling to the afternoons only due to currents winds and waves.
This is our 5th time at this facility. It has morphed from an "adults only" to a family oriented vacation spot. Additionally, the coral has sadly gone from a magical underwater forest to bleached and dying coral. We still saw plenty of fish but nothing like we were mesmerized by 30 years ago!
It's great for families with young children with plenty of kid oriented activities organized and supervised by Club Med GO's while parents enjoy other activities. They have a new water slide park that was well used.
They have expanded their adult activities and varied their excursions. We took part in the catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres. If you take this excursion, I highly recommend you bring Mexican pesos with you to be prepared in case you would like to make any purchases at the local markets after your cultural tour.
The food is always great at this Club Med. This time, although still tasty, I feel it was catered a bit more to the palates of the large number of young children at the resort for the week we were there.
You can relax or be as busy as you want when going to this resort. All the GO's were very helpful and pleasant.
My only mild complaint is that the music wherever played but especially during the evening entertainment was far too loud. Bring ear plugs to protect your hearing.

All the staff were welcoming. A huge effort goes into making a vacation seem seamless and Club med met all expectations.

We came back last night from an amazing week at clubmed Cancun. We loved every moment spending our whole week sailing, swimming , snorkelling and paddle-boarding. We lived at the water sports section of the resort. We had the privilege of being greeted for breakfast everyday with the biggest smile and absolute kindness of Maria Felix Diaz Sanchez. She went above and beyond with excellent service always with the biggest smile to make sure we had an unique and memorable experience having breakfast by the ocean at the Taco Arte beach lounge. She is an absolute gem and Club Cancun is so lucky to have her as an employee. Miss Sanchez is a true example of what an employee should be like in any industry. Thank you Maria for making are incredible vacation exceptional.
