We had a brilliant week, lovely warm welcome, brilliant food and wonderful atmosphere. The village chief Gianni very present , also Andrea in the restaurant excellent. Great friendly helpful staff, especially Arthur (bar) Perle ( table clearer) and Allenso ( restaurant). Very special thanks to Christophe, Louis and Florian for the road cycling, very professional, well organised, knowledgeable friendly rides. Such a great activity from the village.

This was our second Club Med stay as a family of 4. Our first was to Club Med Bali and the standard it set was exceptionally high in terms of the food, staff and resort layout. It has left us with pretty high expectations of Club Med.
Alpe D’Huez came with an amazing kids club and great food, as is the Club Med way we came to love so much in Bali! We are particularly happy with the kids club, as we were one of the only English speaking families there and it could have been a stressful experience for our sons, but they had such a good time. All the staff are very kind and the kids facilities are very nice. The guided hikes were also very high quality and we got to do many stunning routes we’d never have found ourselves. The resort of Alpe D’Huez is perfect for families who are into hiking and cycling.
The size of the grounds at Alpe D'Huez necessarily limit the footprint it can have, and it has been built upwards as a result. The limitations we experienced at Alpe D'Huez are mostly because of that.
The "social" area of the resort occupies a central location and the noise of the evening entertainment really carries. The first room we got was essentially on top of the terrace. If you are travelling with young children or are more "morning people" request a room as far as possible from the terrace and theatre.
The size of the resort also means that the gym, swimming pools and buffet restaurant are really a bit too small for when the resort is at high occupancy.
The other issue, which is probably a newer one since the resort was built, is the lack of cooling. Either we had to be very hot, or have the sound of the evening entertainment coming through the windows which was hard with children. We moved rooms and could still easily hear it.
However – we have booked to return for a skiing holiday as Alpe D'Huez is such an incredible place, expecting to be less bothered by the heat and noise! It looks like it will be a genuine ski-in and ski-out resort.
Excellent experience! The service is outstanding, with a warm welcome, constant smiles, and great professionalism from the whole team. A special thank you to Antonella and Alessio for their dedication and kindness. The beautiful terrace with its amazing view makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
We just had a wonderful experience. The staff and amenities are excellent. The food is exquisite. I wanted to thank Eléa and Kristal at the baby's club who made our trip very enjoyable. They took the time to take care of our 2yo baby girl.
